*Over the border to rifle and plunder
Over the border went Morgan the bold
Over the border a terrible blunder
For over the border bold Morgan lies cold
When the gold rush had been proven a bust
Robbing and looting had become a must
Caught up by the law; taken out to sea
Six years sentenced to Success he’d be
Six years Fuller was imprisoned to row
The seeds of a malcontent be sown
Raped and beaten then seared with a brand
Set free to be the terror of Queensland
Taking a name and growing his beard
Known now as the Mad Dog all lawmen would fear
When a clash with the hunters had left him dying
Billy Ballong found him and took him under his wing
They’d rob and they’d fade away in a blur
The bushman and the one with the Irish temper
When the pair would strike and then disappear
The troopers had found that their true trail had veered
Taking rest at the station and indulging his rum
The old bushranger was morose and glum
Not just the sentimentality he felt
But brooding over the hand he was dealt
Drinking and pondering the days of yore
When Billy the bushman had saved him before
This time no help as the lawmen surround
To kill a man whose spirit could never be bound
*So honour the brave 'earts over the border
Great was the lesson they taught us that day
Oh, that teach other bushranging marauder
Over the border should venture to stray
Where noted * in “Over the Border”, are traditional Australian folk melody and lyrics

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka

IMHO, one of those albums that catches your attention immediately, but needs a few listens to really appreciate how great it is. Getting addicted guys, really! sachavonkarl74
